Vision

In the 1980’s a new cell model began to emerge building on the Government of 12 as the Holy Spirit led Pastor Cesar Castellanos and others in Bogota, Columbia. This model carries a new and fresh anointing for cell churches. It is called the ‘G12’ model and it is currently being spearheaded globally under the leadership of Cesar Castellanos.

Jesus chose 12 men to reach the multitudes (Matthew 9:35-10:5). He wanted to reach the multitudes but began with a group of 12 disciples he had previously selected and was equipped to do the job. These men stayed with him throughout his public ministry. He worked with the 12 and finally released them to the task of discipling people from all nations world wide.

When Jesus issued his command, "Make disciples of all nations" They began to follow the example of Christ and formed small groups from household to household, pouring their lives into people just as Jesus had done to them.

G12 gives us a real opportunity to achieve 100% discipleship in the modern Church. It is a model of evangelism followed by intentional discipleship and it is a strategy that can bring the whole of a church into the discipleship of Jesus.

Clearly the G12 vision is greater than any one church or any single ministry in the world. However, it can be applied in every church as the Holy Spirit leads. That way the entire body of Christ can become healthy, strong, active and mobilized into the global task of reaching and discipling the nations before Jesus returns.

This model builds on the principle of 12 and cells are organized into groups of 12. This is where leaders are discipled, nurtured, equipped and mentored. Each person in a group of 12 is encouraged to lead ?their own cell where they fulfill their call as leaders – to evangelize the lost, nurture new believers and raise up leaders of their own – who in turn become part of their group of 12. And so the process is repeated.

Rapid growth begins to occur when this multiplication according to the factor of 12 sets in. The 12 grow to 144, and then to 1,728, to 20,736 and so on.

One of the greatest advantages of the G12 Vision is that everyone can be personally mentored and discipled into leadership. People can make great progress in their Christian life and ministry, knowing that while they lead others, they have the support and back up of their own leader.
